The Motivational Story of Mel Fisher

Image
Hay dyudes, today we're going to discuss one of the greatest MELs out there, MEL Fisher. Now, MEL Fisher was just your ordinary kid growing up. He was a country-man in Glen Park, Indiana, born in 1922 with nothing unusual to his name besides some big dreams. MEL wanted to become a treasure hunter, just like he saw Jim Hawkins and others do in the books he looked to for inspiration. But alas, Indiana isn't known for its sunken treasures, or oceans at all for that matter. And so MEL had to wait. But he was destined to aMELiorate his own present situation of boredom and not belonging,  that was for sure.      After graduating college, serving overseas as an Army Engineer, and moving from Indiana to Florida and California,  MEL still hadn't forgotten his dream of diving and finding sunken treasure. Soon, he took some lessons, opened a small scuba shop (first in the world) (in addition to a chicken ranch) (the chicken ranch wasn't a new thing, there were plenty of those

In 1964, during his final year in college a 21 year old man named harry decided to take acting class because he was a shy student. But this class has changed everything for harry, he found out that he really loved acting and also found his future wife there. After college he get married and they then fly to Hollywood to find some acting opportunities. He then gets a contract which pays him little to nothing, and all the opportunities he got were small and unnoticeable. After 2 years he got significantly higher role than he used to, which was a 60 second clip in which he actually gets a chance to speak. After finishing all his shoot he goes to the head quarters of Colombia pictures where the producer of this scene watches the scene and called harry over him to the office for a second and then the producer says "I am going to be straight up here, your not going make it in this field, that your not going to be a movie s

Warren Buffett

Image
So yes, we will be doing quote analysis of Warren Buffet's quotes. So let's get started. If we have to understand this quote deeply, you should know the other quote too which is " Be greedy when others are fearful and when other are fearful be greedy". So, when people are too greedy, then be scared and when everyones scared in the market, begin being greedy. " The stock market is a device" and the people who are not patient, will loose money and the people who are patient will gain money. In fact the biggest factor in stock market is patience. If you don't have patience then be as far as you can from stock market. Many people have lost millions in this, they all believe that this is some kind of get rich scheme. They all don't even understand the basics. If you understand closely then you can see, that all those people are speculators and Warren Buffett is investor. We need to understand the difference between a speculator and a investor. Speculation

Gandhi Quote

"In a gentle way, you can shake the world"- Mahatma Gandhi This is a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, one of the main people behind the Indian Independence Movement. He supported nonviolence and helped India gain freedom from the British. In this quote, Gandhi says to not enforce violence or means of fighting people physically in order to combat your problems, but instead to use peace and tactically solve them. He is saying that violence is not the only way to change the world, but you can use peace and smartness to change it too.

Words about Pictures 2

Now we've really lost it. Instead of uploading an image (like we've never done, ever), or gif, we've uploaded a video. On a series titled "Words about Pictures"! How could we!? What has MELnewzers come to?          Well, if you'd just take a look at said video, you might change your mind. This is a quite exquisite video, don't you think. Why don't you watch it again. There, much better. You could even watch it a third time, but only if you're a serious MEL.      What can we learn from this video? First, let's discuss what actually happened in the video. The schoolchild swung a sword around, very fancy-like, and then said, "Don't smoke weed; smoke Jesus". This message is very, very profound and we all should all try to incorporate it into our daily lives. How so? Well, that's what I'm about to spit.     It's important to not let distractions like drugs interfere with your daily life, and your plan to aim for succes

Abdul Kalam Quote

Image
“ Dream  is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep.” - Abdul Kalam, former ISRO scientist and former Indian president. This was a quote from Abdul Kalam, the 11th president of India and a former rocket scientist. He was born in a lower middle class family in the state of Tamil Nadu, and he made his way up though lots of hard work and dedication. He worked very hard for his dream to become a reality and in the end, he achieved more than just his dream, which was to make India proud. His message for people is to follow our dreams and work very hard for it without letting anything disturb us or get in our way. That is what he is trying to convey to us people through this quote.

Steve Jobs Quote 2

Image
Hello, dear MELs. This is the second installment in our series analyzing the quotes of Steve Jobs, and how you can use these to better live your life. The quote that we'll analyze today is "Stay hungry, stay foolish." No, I don't think that was big enough. How about this: "STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH"      There, much better. Steve jobs said this during a 2005 speech given at Stanford. He found "Stay hungry, Stay foolish" on the final issue of a magazine named The Whole Earth Catalog , which Jobs followed. On its last issue, as a piece of advice to its readers, it said, "Stay hungry, Stay foolish".  But what is this supposed to mean? Isn't being hungry a bad thing? Nobody wants to be foolish, right? Well, let's look at it from Jobs's perspective. Steve  Jobs was the first in his family to attend college, but dropped out after he found that college didn't do much for him. He then spent a period of his life actually being hu

How to feel energetic all the time?

Image
This question basically mean, how to achieve your goals. Okay lets get into it, If you observe a lion closely in forest, you can see that it stores it's energy. It doesn't run around like a stupid. This is because if it does that then it wouldn't have anergy when it needs it. Conserving energy is important. How do you conserve  the energy? If you have work. I mean it's not like you have work 24/7. Out of 24 hours you will properly have 4 hours where you actually do something that is important. This is the time where you have to put your full focus, dedication and effort. Once you're done with that task then you should relax. Mentally and physically. When you're doing this you are restoring the energy. Like if we sleep then we are bringing the energy back. You should know these both skills in life. Sometimes you shouldn't waste your energy, people usually get energetic when thy should not. wasting their energy without doing anything, an

Tips for Staying Productive

Image
When you're working on something, there's always times that you say you're working but aren't really. You could be distracted by something, or just zoned out. Let's be honest. In times like these, you hardly get any work done at all. Here are some tips to keep you productive, even in these hard times. Structure Work Time      One potential tip to help you work more is to designate what you'll do at every time of the day. If you create a schedule for yourself, it leads to you being able to cut yourself away from distractions. On the schedule, you should put down whatever you intend to do for that period. If you decide you should take a break, put that on the schedule too. The most important thing is to never disobey the schedule. If you do, then that defeats the whole purpose.      An additional tip that you can utilize in your schedule is, in addition to what you will be doing for certain time periods, put what you seek to accomplish. That will help you sta

Albert Einstein Quote 4

Image
Based on knowledge and what happened in past could be repeated again, but we can't create something new out of it. Until one has imagination. Meaning first we image something and then use the knowledge and this is fine. but if we only think about it based on knowledge, then it's impossible to do something new. Based on knowledge we could repeat the same things, going in circle. For example if theirs a bulb and if you have knowledge about it, then you could build more bulbs with that knowledge. It could become a factory and more bulbs could be produced. Sorry guys, this is all. This quote has a lot to it and I went just a bit in depth. I didn't have time because of my college course. But, today is when it will end so great things about come soon.

Albert Einstein Quote 3

Image
This is a great quote and when he said this quote, computers were not developed. Internet didn't penetrate that much, but he knew what was going to happen in the future. He gave this statement based on that. Why is it not important to learn facts in education? If we talk about todays world, then facts are available in a click of button. So that mean if you go to school/college and learn and put it in the brain. What is the use of it? everything's already online. if you memories everything and have to retrieve it then how is that going to be possible. You would have to ask that question to yourself and you remember and tell it. But if you had to ask a question then you could have asked the same question to your iPhone. You could ask about this/that and the mobile will give you the answer. Do you think you could be able to feed as much knowledge as iPhone or that's present in Google? If all we think about education is to feed facts into our brains, then our brain will alw

How to stay positive when people demotivate you?

Image
There are many people who are going to demotivate you in your journey. The world doesn’t like people being successful. They will try to push you down. In this moment I just do one thing,  in my perspective it’s a good thing when people start demotivating you and I fact I believe that when people demotivate you  that’s when you know your going on the right track. Okay, so how do you stay positive, when people try to demotivate me I intake everything that they are telling me and when I lose hope in something, I remember everything that they say. So, I use the demotivation as a fuel to make me progress. I get twice the energy when I remember everything they said. Do the same thing, act like you don’t care but take it in and use it as a fuel. Usually when people hear someone demotivation then they try to fight, it try to prove that they are wrong and in this process you get Stressed or even loose a friend\relationship. If you use my method you don’t loose any

Albert Einstein- quote 2

Image
We've already looked at  one of Albert Einstein's quotes , now let's try and understand another. " Beim Menschen ist es wie beim Velo. Nur wenn er faehrt, kann er bequem die Balance halten. " Einstein wrote this German phrase in a letter to his son, Eduard Einstein. Now, this may not be perfectly clear to the average English-speaking Melnewzers reader, so here is an excellent translation, courtesy of Google Translation Services: "It's like a bicycle in the middle of nowhere. Only when he is going where he can keep his balance he is the straightest"  Wonderful, no? Now, here's a better, hand-made translation: "It is the same with people as it is with riding a bike. Only when moving can one comfortably maintain one’s balance." This quote tells us that you have to keep moving in order to stay afloat. Speaking from personal experience, as part of a (non)biker gang, bikes travel best when they travel fast. When you slow down and stop, you lo

Albert Einstein- quote 1

Image
Let's start of with Albert Einstein's first quote which is " Every Body is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree. It  will be living it's whole life thinking it's stupid", this is a powerful statement, before I tell you the meaning try to understand it first. Okay so the meaning of this is, if someone else judges the fish then there's no problem, then the person who judged is stupid. Meaning if the world judges you there's no problem and the world is stupid, but if the fish judges it's own ability's and thinks that it can't climb the tress then it's stupid. Everybody has an ability in life. If Bill Gates was told to become a doctor in life, then he wouldn't be the person who he is right now. He found his passion when he was young and progressed along. Or, if Albert Einstein was told to play cricket, then what would he do, people would have laugh. Albert Einstein did what was hi

Why its important to study?

Image
"Every 26 seconds a teen drops out of school" . Their might be many teens thinking of dropping out from school/universities to start/do something big. I was one of them, I also "thought" off dropping out but I really didn't have a choice because I had Indian parents. This was the time when I was in 9th grade. I saw many big entrepreneurs explaining why studying is not necessary to become rich. I agree to that point, but that doesn't mean one should drop out of their school/university. I researched, and when I did, I found out that the number of people who get rich by dropping out of school/ university is really low, it doesn't mean that you can't become, it simply means that their is a lot of risk you are taking and if you do not succeed in what you aim to achieve by dropping out then you will most likely end up becoming poor. Taking risks is a good thing, I would agree that you should take risk but there should be a

pablo picasso

Image
Pablo Picasso, one of the legends in painting. One day Picasso was walking through the street when suddenly, a woman knew who he was and ran to him and said, she was his biggest fan. Then, she asked Picasso if he could make a painting for her. He then responded that he didn't have the equipment to make a painting so he would paint for her another time. She knew she would not have another chance to meet him, so she told him to make a painting. Then, Picasso took a small piece of paper and a pen and started drawing. After 10 min Picasso made the painting and told her that the painting was worth a million dollars. Without telling anything, she came to her home. She thought Picasso was fooling her. She went to the market to find out the price of the painting. She was shocked when she found out that the painting was worth a million dollars. She ran to find Picasso and when she finally found him, she asked him to make her

The Story of Vincent van Gogh

Image
You may have heard about Vincent van Gogh, the dutch painter known all over the world for his self-portraits, art style, and of course Starry Night . He is one of the most influential and prevalent artists today, but how did he fare in his time?         In a word: terribly.          Van Gogh was born in 1853 to a family made up of preachers and art dealers in a small town in the Netherlands. As an upper middle-class child, van Gogh was sent to boarding school. He felt abandoned and wished to return immediately. When his parents tried again at a middle school, he disliked it as well, later describing his childhood as a "austere and cold".                     Vincent van Gogh drew much as a child, but didn't respond to formal classes. At the age of 16, van Gogh received a job at an art dealership, but was dismissed in 1875 because of a disagreement with the principles of the art dealership. Van Gogh, who was sad and sorrowful throughout his life, had ju

Karoly the shooter

Image
This story is about 1938, and a man named Karoly. He was Hungarian's best pistol shooter. Any national championships that happened in that country were all won by him, and everyone in the country was sure that he would win the 1940's Olympics gold medalist. He trained for years for this one moment. He had only one dream and that was to become the best shooter in the world and he almost accomplished that. In 1938 there was an army training camp and he went there because he was in the army. Then an accident happened, a hand grenade blew up in his right hand. The hand he wished to hold a gold medal. The hand was now gone. All the focus and his dream were all done. He had two options, one to cry his whole life or to fulfill the goal that he focused on. He didn't focus on what he has lost but instead on the other hand that he had. This was the type of hand that he was not even able to write with. For a month he had stayed in the hospital to get better. R
